Hiking in Germany
Do:
Have an eye for the details
No
matter where you’re about to hike, there will most likely be many breathtaking
spots along your way, and you better make sure not to miss them! J
Sing a song
Singing while
hiking is awesome! No matter if 80’s, 90’s, the latest One Direction hit or an
old old old hymn: singing while walking makes it just more fun.Leave the path
Of course only if you’re sure you’ll find back J
Leave the regular streets, paths or trails, jump down a small hill, across creeks, or even walk through a river!
Excitement comes whenever you leave the known and run into the unknown!
Bring snacks & lunch
Who
never experienced it might not know, but food is never as delicious as when it’s
eaten while hiking! So make sure to bring enough granola bars & a good
lunch J
I recommend
some apples, too..
Don’t:
Rush
Don’t
run (unless you’re outside for jogging)!
Please
take time to make walking comfortable & watch whatever you want to watch!
Forget to make some breaks
You
might come along some sweet benches in the middle of nowhere, a forest, a pond,
a river or a lake, no matter what or where - if you have time and don’t need to
be at a certain place at a certain time, just sit down, relax and have a nice
break!
Underestimate the backpack
No
matter if you’re just hiking for one or for more days: don’t underestimate the
day- / backpack! No matter if it’s too big, too small or too heavy: leave it at
home!
It might
don’t bother you for the first couple minutes, but it will soon!
Underestimate the shoes
Just as
the backpack the shoes might seem to be ok for a short walk, but if you’re
about to hike for a longer time you should make sure that they fit, are the
right size and above all that they’re not new, never before worn shoes!
Blisters
at the feet are not the nicest companion, especially not if you have to continue
the hike!
