New destination: Vik

Day 4
This morning we packed all of our stuff in Arnes together and left to drive to Vik, one of the southernmost "city's" of Iceland. I don't know if you can talk of a city, it's smaller than most of the villages I know, but for Icelandic conditions I think it's ok to call it city..
On our way we made stop at another cascade called "skogafoss" which was an breathtaking beautiful place! The cascade was really high and you could climb stairs all the way up to a platform with a view over the whole area. Surely the guys decided to stop at the top and make a photo-session, so we girls decided to go the way back down, cause it was drafty up there..
When we arrived in Vik there we immediately ran to the beach, sprinted along it, tested if our shoes were really waterproof and took photos of Canadian tourists :)
After it got a little cold at the sea and we realized that we didn't had a place where to sleep that night and still no denatured alcohol to cook a warm meal we drove to all the supermarkets and gas stations around Vik. After a while they sold us something called "Rödsprit" which should be similar to what we needed - and hey it was pink, so we bought it.
We then decided to sleep between the dunes directly at the beach and even found a carcass of a (we think) sheep on our way to our bivouac..
We cooked dinner, enjoyed the ocean view and went to "bed" early, because it was really cold without the sun that evening..
How annoying that of all things in the moment we wanted to go sleeping our zipper of the tent almost broke and just hardly could be closed :)
Even if this routine of the day sounded unspectacular: Vik is one of the most beautiful places that I've ever seen!
